Mother’s Day Week

Mother’s Day is around the corner.   Here is a collection of some of my favorites from the past year or so…what a beautiful thing Motherhood can be.

I do want to acknowledge while I know there is so much joy in Mother/Child relationships,  I also know there is pain, and loss for so many on this holiday.  I think of the people who have lost their Mom’s to a death, the women who long to be Mother’s themselves who sit in church on that specific Sunday with such heart ache, those Mom’s who have children who have disappeared or run away, the children who had Mom’s that for some reason or another, didn’t have the relationship they dreamed….I pray for all Mom’s out there.  It’s such an important role.  I feel so blessed to not only be a Mom but to have been blessed by the Mom God gave to me, and my Grandmother’s as well.   Strong, Godly women….it matters.

Happy Mother’s Day Week.

Proverbs 31:26-31 “She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: Many woman do noble things, but you surpass them all.” Charm is deceptive , and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Give her the reward she has earned, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.”
