What an honor to be asked to head to Minnesota to take Senior Pictures of Emily and our dear family friends. With ALL of the photographers they have to choose from there, to ask me to come was a sweet gesture. The Erickson family are more of my favorite people…they moved from Des Moines and we still miss them. It’s been 2-3 years maybe? The beautiful thing about true friendship is distance doesn’t really change the heart of your relationship. It may be more difficult to see each other, certainly to run into each other but at the heart, the friendship is there. When prayer is needed, or celebrating my friend Jennifer is always a text of phone call away. I am a Minnesota girl at heart, having grown up there, so it has been a pleasure to watch the Erickson family learn to love my home state. They text me pictures from hockey games, Twins games, my high school homecoming game, their girls babysit my niece and nephew and they have even become good friends with some of my dearest and oldest friends through church. I love that connection.
Believe it or not, it rained throughout this session…don’t look too close or you will see rain drops. This family was so patient as we darted in and out of the car.
Emily is a senior in high school, granted she may be at a rival high school to mine (Go Hornets) but nonetheless she has grown up. She is a beautiful girl, she sparkles from the inside out. She touches hearts and will forever do that, it’s just who she is and what she is about.
It was my joy to capture this wonderfully musical and loving bunch on a cold, rainy and dreary day, and looking through these pictures makes me miss them even more. Enjoy your sneak peek.
