Do you remember those adults from your childhood that knew your name? That taught you Sunday School? That cared about you? These are those people for our son Jack. Adam and Michelle were his Sunday School teachers when he was probably 3 and 4 years old, for at least a year maybe 2 years straight. They NEVER failed to make Jack feel special. They went OUT of their way on Sunday mornings to greet Jack, by name. These are people that have made an impact and investment in our now 10 year old son. Jack has about 3 pictures on his bulletin board in his room, and one is of Adam and him. That says something. As a Mom, how do you ever express your gratitude?
These people are the real deal. They love each other, they have not had the easiest of roads these past few years…they have focused on God and on what is important in life. What you see in these pictures is REAL family. The one photo of Adam kissing Michelle’s forehead stopped me in my tracks as it uploaded to the computer. It stopped me to the point where I couldn’t even edit anymore for their sneak peek. I had to let that photo just resonate. What started out as a pose that I think Adam thought I was crazy to request…turned out to be the most tender and thoughtful photo of the bunch.
THIS is why I do what I do….
